Chrissy and Joe had a beautiful beach wedding, or “down the shore” as we say in NJ!

Laura and I love beach weddings so we love any chance we get to go to Cape May. It not only has that old 1920’s family friendly classy look which makes for some pretty amazing photo opportunities, but there are no fast food places or a lot of traffic. It definitely doesn’t have that MTV Jersey Shore feel.

Chrissy is from Brooklyn and her family has been going to Cape May for over 30 years. They got their Brooklyn priest (who vacations in Cape May too) to come down and perform their wedding ceremony at Our Lady Star of the Sea. I nearly dropped my camera when he got up in front of everyone and exclaimed “Brooklyn in the house” and had people clapping after each reading.

After some photos down at the lighthouse, the local arcade, and even a 7-11 for a Slurpee, then we headed to the reception at the beautiful Grand Hotel.

Manic Botanic did an amazing job with all the flowers and really made the tables look gorgeous. We also got to work with our good friends from Blossom Productions and the girls from Proud to Plan. We even did a day after shoot when Chrissy takes her Pronovias gown for a swim, but we’ll save those for later.

love, Love, LOVE this cake from the fabulous Pink Cake Box!  As gorgeous as it looks in this setting sunlight, the picture still doesn’t do it justice!
